200 Degrees Coffee Shop

I'm pleased to say that you are one of a very few places open for breakfast in York before 9.30am. It's a bonus that the food and coffee is good and the staff are great. The location is within easy walking distance of all of the central tourist attractions. There was enough seating each time we visited though this was towards the end of the tourist season. If you can, use the park and ride. It's not expensive and will get you very close to the city centre so 200 Degrees will never be far away.

We came in on a Monday morning just by chance. Unfortunately the coffee machine was broken so many coffee options were not available. There were however plenty of other options available. We had a milkshake and a toffee nut matcha. They were incredible. As an added extra, our server overheard us talking about it being my birthday and came to us with a lovely slice of carrot cake on the house. That was also incredible. We would definitely come back here.

I recently visited this cozy coffee shop and had such a great experience! Their Spanish latte was perfectly balanced—smooth, slightly sweet, and incredibly satisfying. I also tried the banana coconut cake and pumpkin cake, and both were delicious. The banana coconut cake was moist with a lovely tropical flavor, while the pumpkin cake had warm spices and the perfect texture. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s definitely a spot I’d return to for great coffee and tasty treats!

Really lovely helpful and friendly staff We sat outside for our visit having walked up the Shanbles Foos was really great and the coffee spot on Unfortunately we were targeted by some sausage roll loving wasps , but once again the staff stepped in and helped us move inside The atmosphere was nice too Five big stars from us

Went here for lunch, one of the best coffees I have tasted! Absolute quality! Had a medium mocha, a chicken, mozzarella and pesto bap and a slice of lemon drizzle cake. All the food and the drink were top quality, the place was clean and tidy, the staff warm and welcoming. The interior is large and aesthetically pleasing on the eye. There is a range of seating available, public Wi-Fi also on offer. Based on this experience I will certainly lunch here again in the near future.

Fantastic cafe, from great service to a delicious coffee and food. Atmosphere great. We love the coffee that much that we always buy a bag of the coffee beans and ask them to ground them and we use in our cafeteria at home.

The place was lovely, and the coffee quality was truly amazing — it’s rare to find cafés in the UK with this level of quality. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. A few days ago, when I visited, their coffee machine was out of order. They offered us other drinks instead, but we didn’t want any, so the staff kindly gave us two free drink vouchers for any time and refunded our money. All my orders so far have been takeaways, but I’ll definitely come back one day to sit inside and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.
